Includes a reusable nesting block with tubes for Mason bees, and also a predator guard which goes over the front to protect the tubes. The nesting block has rows of hindged trays with 26-30 tubes included. Nesting trays are made from either environmentally either friendly recycled corn material, or wood. They are easily cleaned out in the winter for when you harvest your cocoons, and are reusable year after year.

Hanging out a nesting box is a little bit like putting up a bird house to make housing available for wildlife. The Chalet House is a nursery for baby bees. Remember, if you don't have a good habitat (spring flowers and palces for adult bees to hide), your bees may not stick around.  To ensure the house is used you can add a box of Mason bee cocoons to hatch out. Here in northern Alberta (where our Lab is), bee cocoons must he harvested and kept in more stable temperatures during the winter than our taiga climate can provide. If you live in more friendly climates this may not be necessary. For more information, contact our office.

Outside dimensions: 20x 20.5 x 18.5 cm or 8 x 7.9 x 7.25 inches
Materials: solid wood, corn/resin material. The predator guard is plastic.
